Ok. This isn’t strictly speaking about China. It’s about Singapore in fact, which is a Chinese city, albeit quite a ways from the motherland (tho a lot closer than it looks on the map if Chinese claims to various tiny islands in the South China Sea are to be believed.) Anyway, the efforts of this extremely uptight government to get hip as it tries to make itself a world player in that holy grail of value added products, services, have been amusing in the past. But as the PR exec and engaging blogger Imagethief says, this most recent example is far, far beyond anything that has come previously, so toe-curlingly embarrassing that even I couldn’t bear to sit through the whole thing. For the record, it’s a so-called rap video put together by the suits who run the government’s Media Development Authority. Enjoy!
