Russian police confiscated a painting of President Vladimir Putin in women’s underwear late Monday night, citing a law that prohibits mocking government authorities, The Guardian reports.
The painting depicted Putin in a curve-hugging slip combing the hair of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, who was himself sporting a bra and underwear. Along with three additional paintings of other government officials, it was displayed at a small gallery called the Museum of Power, which operates out of two rooms of a St. Petersburg flat.
The gallery owner said the authorities shut him down and seized the paintings without explanation.
