A Bus Collides With a Train in Deadly Canada Crash

A double decker bus collided with a passenger train in Ottawa during Wednesday’s morning commute, killing six people, CBC News reports.

City officials say 31 people were hospitalized after the crash, including 11 people in critical condition. The front end of the bus was ripped apart after colliding with the Toronto-bound train. Ottawa’s transit union confirmed that the driver of the bus was among those killed in the crash.

Witnesses and passengers report that the bus driver appeared to ignore warning signals at the track crossing.

“Boom! It went into the train like that,” one witness said. “He just didn’t stop.”
