People of the Jain community mark the end of a 24 hour prayer session for the victims of the Westgate Shopping Centre attack on Sept. 29, 2013 in Nairobi, Kenya.

After slaughtering at least 67 people at Nairobi’s Westgate Mall last last month, Somali Islamist group al-Shabaab has threatened to unleash more carnage in Kenya.

“We will strike Kenyans where it hurts the most, turn their cities into graveyards and rivers of blood will flow in Nairobi,” the group said on Wednesday.

The statement follows a refusal by Kenya to withdraw its troops from Somalia. “We will not be intimated, we will not be cowed. We will stay there until they bring order to their nation,” Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta said on Tuesday.
