Iran's President Hassan Rouhani takes questions from journalists during a news conference in New York City on Sept. 27, 2013

Mojtaba Ahmadi, the commander of Iran’s Cyber Warfare Headquarters, has been found dead with two close-range bullet wounds to his heart, according to an uncorroborated report by the Daily Telegraph. The U.K. newspaper writes that two people on a motorbike were involved in the assassination.

The Revolutionary Guard Corps has said that it is investigating the case and warned about speculating about the identity of the perpetrators. However, accusations already abound concerning foreign involvement. Since 2007, five Iranian nuclear scientists and the head of the country’s ballistic missile program have been killed.
