The Taliban weighed in Friday on the fact that Malala Yousefzai did not win the Nobel Peace Prize.

Taliban spokesman Shahidullah Shahid called the announcement “very good news,” and congratulated the Nobel committee on “not selecting this immature girl for this famous award,” NBC news reports.

“If we get another chance, we will definitely kill her and that will make us feel proud,” Shahid said in an earlier statement. The Taliban has also threatened to kill any shopkeepers that sell Malala’s book, “I Am Malala.”

Malala was widely believed to be a frontrunner for the Nobel Peace Prize, but the honor instead went to Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OCPW.) Even after the Taliban shot her in the head on a school bus, Malala has been a vocal advocate for girls education and outspoken critic of the Taliban.
