Musharraf Granted Bail After Long House Arrest

Former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf was granted bail Monday after six months of house arrest, his lawyer said.

Musharraf will still have to remain in Pakistan, said his lawyer, lyas Saddiqi, the Associated Press reports.

The former president and army chief is on trial for his alleged role in the raid that killed a hardline cleric in 2007, while he was in office. He had already been granted bail in three other cases.
