U.S. Bucks China by Flying B-52s Over Disputed Islands

Tension rises after China claims air above disputed islands

Two American B-52 bomber planes flew into an air-defense zone claimed by China without informing Beijing on Monday, U.S. officials said, just days after China demanded that aircraft passing over a disputed island chain in the East China Sea register their flight plans and communication frequencies.

The flights followed Pentagon comments Monday that it wouldn’t adapt its operations to comply with the new Chinese demands. “We will not in any way change how we conduct our operations,” Army Colonel Steve Warren said, as quoted by Bloomberg.

The latest tension in the row, a decades-long conflict over the sovereignty of uninhabited islands near Taiwan that China calls Diaoyu and Japan refers to as Senkaku, has been viewed by Japan and the U.S. — its closest military ally — as an overly aggressive attempt by China to change the regional status quo.

Exactly how China would respond to breaches of the airspace isn’t known, but a boost in military posturing near the islands has heightened fears of an accidental clash.

Fumio Kishida, Japan’s Foreign Minister, said the action could “trigger unpredictable events,” and U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel added that “the unilateral action increases the risk of misunderstanding and miscalculation.”

Wow, bold title :  U.S. bucks China by.....  Macho stuff and it feels good.  So what does it prove?  And, will the macho stuff lead to another mid-air collision like the 2001 incident?  Ah that is why an old 52 was sent and not the modern B1, or B2, or the F22 was sent - in case it is damaged and had to land, god forbidden, on a Chinese airport again.  That would not be good.

LOL. Next, I bet the US will order some chinese food from the mainland, fly over, pick them up and the chinese wouldn't even notice. Like a boss. LOL.

There is a simple solution to China's arrogance... buy American, Canadian, Japanese, Phillipino, Caribbean, and other goods.  Do not buy "Made in China (with attitude)"  Buying Chinese funds Chinese aggression.

You really think if some plane will be attacked above the area without informing? You really think China care about the disputed island? I don't think so. It is obvious that it is a trap and US fell in it so easy, maybe the US want to indicate your position and the China want to know who is the real friend or emeny? Of course he don't say anythink maybe just condemnations but he will know there will be never real friendship between them.

To the US, all the world know they want to display the muscle and they want to protect his benefit of ASIA, but this action will make the Chinese people see the real face and make them more unity. And we want to ask what do US want to do there? Balance! Keep the falling balance? Break it and them build it maybe anouther best way.

What do you want? A polluted land? hehe

China will bide its time. It will come into the middle east eventually, to join the battle of Armageddon........

Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared........

For those not in the know, the "collapse" of the USSR in 1991 was a strategic ruse under the “Long-Range Policy" (LRP). What is the LRP, you ask? The LRP is the "new" strategy all Communist nations signed onto in 1960 to defeat the West with. The last major disinformation operation under the LRP was the "collapse" of the USSR in 1991.

The next major disinformation operation under the LRP will be the fraudulent collapse of the Chinese Communist government. When that occurs, Taiwan will be stymied from not joining the mainland. This is why China is buying up gold all over the word. It is believed that China currently has 3,000 [metric] tonnes of gold. When China has 6,000 [metric] tonnes it will have the minimum gold reserves necessary for its currency, the yuan, to replace the United States' dollar as the world's reserve currency, that is after the fraudulent collapse of the Chinese Communist government (the United States gold reserves is approximately 8,133.5 [metric] tonnes).

The "dispute" between China and Japan over those rocks is manufactured by China for a purpose (as are all behaviors of Communist nations. All actions of Communist nations must be analyzed under the rubric of the LRP), and may well be a harbinger of a minor disinformation operation to come under the LRP. This "dispute" will more than likely be used by China as a pretext for a series of military clashes at sea with Japan, where China will fare badly, resulting in China requesting the assistance of Russian arbitration. The "loss of face" incurred by the Communist government 's poor military confrontation with Japan will be used by Beijing to set off a series of "controlled" national crises, where the manipulated public, smelling weakness within the ranks of the People's Liberation Army, "spontaneously" arise to bring down the Communist regime in Beijing:

“Since at least the early 1970s, the Communist party of China has been poised to create a spectacular but controlled “democratization” at any appropriate time. The party had by then spent two decades consolidating its power, building a network of informants and agents that permeate every aspect of Chinese life, both in the cities and in the countryside. Government control is now so complete that it will not be seriously disturbed by free speech and democratic elections; power can now be exerted through the all-pervasive but largely invisible infrastructure of control. A transition to an apparently new system, using dialectical tactics, is now starting to occur.” -- Playing the China Card (The New American, Jan. 1, 1991).

China probably will just shrug this off, because it is already doing the same thing to the Japanese ADIZ covering the same islands. Sending bombers to Guam seems a really long trip.

USA thinks Japan is his friend, that's fine, justbe aware that the lady has a dagger under her fancy kimonos.  And the lady is crazy and always made sure USA fingerprint is on her dagger.

Japan is pretty, but sneaky.   She will never lack pretext or subterfuge, for Pearl Harbor or for murders of millions of people, or for a little piece of rock.

Go watch Rashomon.

American friends, What is so surprising about the American bombers in the Asian field? What these names have in common with America and its free involvement in the world: Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Lebanon, Grenada, Panama, Iraq, Serbia, Somalia, Bosnia, Sudan, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, and Syria? Talking about a bully?

And, I have no way of knowing for sure, but bet my nephew was on one of them, since he's a B-52 navigator.

The 2 bombers were unarmed and unaccompanied by fighters? So we were daring them to shoot them down?

Time to send some B2s to do some bomb runs on our two islands there.

@Hotpuppy First,it is not realted to China's arrogance, it is related to China's territorial integraty. It is known that Diaoyu island always belongs to China. Japan occupied the Diaoyu island in 1972. But Japan was defeated. It is reasonable that Japan shoud return the island to China. If US was China, it might be at war very soon. So would you stil say it is US's arrogance?

@DeanJackson    wow Jackson, you HAVE a rich (don't want to say crazy) imagination.  Let me give you another scenario - at the end the real one who will challenge the U.S. in the Pacific is not the "communist" China.  Most likely it will come from Japan.  In case anyone is interested to know, the Japanese right wing group never liked the U.S. troops in Japan, never liked the Peace Constitution the U.S. imposed on Japan in 1945.  They would like nothing but to see the U.S. troops kicked out of Japan.  I would like to remind everyone here about Pearl Harbor, and how the U.S. troops (and MacArthur?) got kicked out of the Philippines, the British troops got slaughtered on the Malaysian Peninsula, HK, etc.  by whom?  The Imperial Japanese Army.

China is not the enemy of the West.  Not yesterday, not today and not tomorrow.  Remember it was the Chinese expedition army that saved tens of thousands of British troops from the Imperial Japanese army's advance on the Malay Peninsula, allowing them to retreat in one piece to India (when the then British PM Margaret Thatcher went to China, she personally thanked China, and these soldiers - a few of them were alive then for their brave acts in saving the British troops from complete annihilation);  it was the Chinese troops that tied down 2 million Imperial Japanese troops in the China battlefield, and they could only put 19,000 troops on islands like Iowa Jima.  Think of the consequences and casualties to the U.S. Marine if there were 39,000, 49000  Imperial troops on Iowa Jima?

You mean the freedom to kill the Indians and rob their land and riches? Or the freedom to steal other nations' sovereign territories and sell them to Japan? Yes, that is the reason.

@TG28  To address your comment about cheap products from China, once a purchasing director from this big Korean corporation made a profound statement :  no manufacturer likes to make cheap unreliable products.  It is the demand from the purchasing agents, in turn demand from their customers.  Although this is not entirely correct, yes I do think the buyers are largely responsible for such phenomenon.  Demand a good quality product (but be ready to, and willing to pay little more), and good quality is what you will get, from any country.

Right, just like Tibet "always" belonged to China.  There is no evidence anyone occupied these islands prior to the Japanese in the 1890s.  China itself ignored them until natural resources were discovered in the 70s.

@thingsinasia says, "China is not the enemy of the West.  Not yesterday, not today and not tomorrow.  Remember it was the Chinese expedition army that saved tens of thousands of British troops from the Imperial Japanese army's advance on the Malay Peninsula..."

Communists control China today! I'm shocked this fact wasn't provided you during the course of your formal education! A remedial instruction on what a Communist nation's foreign policy is, as affirmed by a high-ranking Chinese Communist Party member:

“It [Communist China's irreconcilable hostility to the West] was explicitly confirmed in May 1994 to Clark Bowers, a member of an official US Republican delegation to Peking, by Mr Mo Xiusong, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Communist Party, who is believed to be the highest-ranking Chinese Communist official ever to have answered questions put to him by a knowledgeable Western expert on Communism:

BOWERS: Is the long-term aim of the Chinese Communist Party still world Communism?

Mo XIUSONG: Yes, of course. That is the reason we exist.” – The Perestroika Deception (1995), KGB defector Major Anatoliy Golitsyn.

DeanJackson
DeanJackson

@vetramon, you need to go back to school and learn what the purpose of Communism is and the tactics used by Communist nations to acquire long-term goals.

Ladies and gentlemen, take a look at these pictures out of Russia…

Google: ‘Photos: Antonov An-12BK-PPS Aircraft Pictures | Airliners net’

and

Google: ‘MiG-23UB Share this photo on forums’l

Then for Russian Naval vessels (take a look at what's still appended to the bows)…

Google (enlarge picture): ‘Russia seeks sea power with decrepit fleet Base expansion likely an empty threat’

Those pictures were taken in 2009, 2011 and 2001, respectively, not before the "collapse" of the USSR. As you can see, the Soviet era nationality emblem of the Communist Party...the Red Star... is still present. That political symbol of the Soviet government would have been immediately removed in early 1992 if the "collapse" of the USSR were genuine. As the legal emblem of the USSR and the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, the Red Star emblem can only be present if Communists are still in power in Russia and the other 14 republics that made up the USSR.

Take a look at what's still on Aeroflot aircraft...

Google (open the first picture): 'airplane pictures Aeroflot Airbus A319 VP-BDN'

Note the Soviet emblem of the hammer & sickle stenciled on the aircraft's fuselage!

Now, for the main paper of the Russian Ministry of Defense…

Google: 'Krasnaya Zvezda'

“Krasnaya Zvezda” is Russian (no kidding!) for "Red Star", the official newspaper of Soviet and later Russian Ministry of Defense. The paper's official designation is, "Central Organ of the Russian Ministry of Defense." Note the four Soviet emblems next to the still existing Soviet era masthead, one of which pictures Lenin's head!

The fraudulent "collapse" of the USSR (and East Bloc) couldn't have been pulled off until both political parties in the United States (and political parties elsewhere in the West) were co-opted by Moscow & Allies, which explains why verification of the “collapse” was never undertaken by the West, such verification being (1) a natural administrative procedure (since the USSR wasn’t occupied by Western military forces); and (2) necessary for the survival of the West. Recall President Reagan's favorite phrase, "Trust, but verify".

@Delfrogo Mr delfrogo, when I wrote that, I tried to put a connection in the minds of the people that read my post to show that the real motive of the present dislike of most of the world, no all, is not that stupid assumption of mr simplistic Bush, but the intromission of this powerful country in the affairs of every country that geopolitically doesn't fit the standard of friendship to it. This means, that those countries that don't open their natural wealth to the ravishness of the American system, are its enemies, that's all.

That is  a THUGGISH AND CALLOUS DENIAL OF UNCIVILIZED CREATURES.

Chinese producers are too greedy to make big profit by deliberately producing such poisonous food stuffs and other hazardous products to cut cost.

Who the hell on earth does not want good product at cheap price ? To meet such customers'  demands ,producers MUST strive to improve productivity but MUST NOT cheating people like Chinese producers. Why NO OTHER COUNTRY DID THAT BEFORE CHINA OPENED ITS DOOR TO THE WORLD ??????????????????????????
