Crack smoking, dance videos and police investigations be damned, Toronto Mayor Rob Ford is running for reelection.

Ford, who admitted smoking crack cocaine earlier this year after months of denials, is set to formally file for reelection on Thursday, the Toronto Star reports. The move caps off months of speculation about a second campaign run despite a veritable train-wreck of scandals in 2013.

Toronto’s city council has stripped Ford of much of his power, transferring budgetary authority to Deputy Mayor Mike Kelly. Ford has defied widespread calls to step down, most recently giving a news conference on an ice storm, even though he had no involvement with the city’s emergency committee.
