Photos emerged Tuesday of the grim aftermath of what anti-regime activists say was a targeted airstrike by forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar Assad on the embattled Damascus district of Douma. Activists allege government helicopters dropped “barrel bombs”—recently used to shell civilian areas in Aleppo—on the neighborhood, leading to destruction and unconfirmed casualties.

Is everyone happy now that they didn't allow President Obama to strike their chemical weapon supply and left Syria's affairs in the hands of the Russians? This was SO PREDICTABLE. Let's ask the Chechens how peace loving the Russians are. Though it can be said Putin is impressive as far as setting goals and accomplishing them.

It was the UN Security Council that agreed to let Assad continue to bomb his own people, the only other leader IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD to do that was GADDAFI.

This is why breaking down the situation there into elementary terms is essential to helping people see the contradictions based on the facts. This has nothing to do with a piece of paper (Treaty), it has to do with the inaction of the UN Security Council as destroying a chem weapon supply with missiles would have been easy and now for all we know they could be getting sold on SilkRoad 2.0

This country needs to start realizing what Congress is doing and ask themselves "do I vote for my Congressman? My judge?"

There was NOT going to be any bombing of babies, just as in Libya, our troops were not armed. It was going to be a strategic hit of a chemical weapon supply used to murder children.

It's just so funny how we scapegoat one President or the other when the PEOPLE are the government. WE CHOOSE because it is a Democracy.

Sure, the electoral college is dated, but you know what? All of those decisions of how elections are handled is decided by your elected official.

All the reporter rants on TV are really just publicity stunts to me because if they had any honesty in them they would bring up voting numbers in this country but...they don't. Anyway...

Members of the UN Security Council for the second time in a month failed to agree the draft statement regarding the situation in Syria. As informed correspondent. ITAR-TASS diplomatic source in the headquarters of the world organization, the United Kingdom initiated the adoption of the document, which proposed to condemn only  the Syrian authorities. According to the interlocutor of Agency, in the course of the work over the document, presented on Tuesday, the delegation of the Russian Federation "pointed to the unbalanced nature of the project application" and suggested changes to it, in particular, by insisting on the mention of the crimes of the opposition. "However, it didn't suit the authors of the text, and the day after he was withdrawn from consideration," the diplomat said. on 18 December, with the offer to take a similar project, statements were made by the United States. It is mainly based on media reports and wished to stay unknowns "human rights defenders" on the application in Aleppo Syrian authorities indiscriminate weapons, including incendiary bombs and Scud missiles. As reported later in the Russian foreign Ministry, the American side were offered "a number of constructive amendments to the text of the document to give it a more balanced character." However, they were not accepted, and a draft was withdrawn.

@HypnerotomachiaPoliphili Yeah, the poor oppressed Chechens! Lmao, you have NO idea what you're talking about. Russians are the great oppressors? Okay, when was the last time they destroyed a country like Libya, or supported an Islamist militant army like here?

"Ask the Chechens". Moron. What a joke. Why don't you, guy who has never spoken to one? Go ahead, ask the Chechens, do you have ANY idea how happy the majority are being part of Russia and not a Shariah-controlled wasteland? Any idea at all? Lol, of course not.

@HypnerotomachiaPoliphili MSNBC hosts irresponsibly spread LIES and clearly pandered to the worried and uninformed viewers.   I was just shocked and appalled: "The Drums of War" theme music; Ed Schultz  'Tough Guy' quite literally freaked out at the prospect of a fight - just unreal.

Sadly as people died in Syria the Wet-Pants Weenie-Liberals celebrated "stopping a war" - as if this was 2003 - displaying shocking ignorance as stated above.

UPDATE - Russians are frantically supplying Assad via air and ship - not just the usual weapons of death but also Guided Rockets for warplanes, DRONES to locate Bread Lines to bomb, and other advanced hardware.
