The Philippine military has killed 37 militants from a splinter group that seeks to scupper a peace deal between the government and the leading rebel organization, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), in the country’s restive south.

In a statement on Wednesday, President Benigno Aquino said that the two-day offensive aimed to “seriously degrade” the possibility for breakaway rebel group Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) to disturb the settlement with MILF.

MILF and Manila concluded negotiations to establish an autonomous Muslim region on the island of Mindanao on Saturday. BIFF and several other rebel factions claim that MILF has agreed on too many compromises, and have vowed to keep fighting the government.

It is most regrettable that such Muslim socalled freedom fighters in the Philippines south are so unrealistic; another group is the New People's Army (NPA), the communist rebel group, still fighting to make the country a communist state: while the Muslim socalled freedom fighters want to fight for God knows what, an autonomous state of Muslims represented by themselves, the rest of Muslims in the south are amenable to integrate into the majority Philippine people, or what I call The People of the Philippines.

Both groups are extremely unrealistic; but the Muslim fighters are more so: because they hold that honor is to be preferred to life, meaning, they will rather die or be killed than live without honor, whatever that word honor means to them, in effect it is all extremely unrealistic and thus irrational impracticality.

So, when they die or get killed fighting they will be happy if that is at all any satisfaction to themselves dead, that they have preserved their honor?

It is like the Japanese who committed suicide rather than surrender: good for them that their emperor finally opted to be rationally practical and surrender, rather than get themselves all the Japanese incinerated in a terrible preservation of their national honor, whatever that was to be so satisfactory to themselves dead -- at most just a footnote in history to themselves as an extinct nation for the rest of human history.

These are the most dangerous humans in the world today, they who are extremely attached to the idea that honor is to be preferred to life, meaning in effect they will kill and be killed rather than stop fighting and join the rest of humanity in life, rather than in an irrational drive for their whatever sense of honor, so that for themselves honor is to be preferred to life.

The Muslim socalled freedom fighters and the communist rebels still trying to topple the government and set up a communist state, they are both extremely irrational, crazy.
