Pope Francis appointed a new head of the Vatican’s internal financial watchdog agency Thursday as he continues a shakeup of its fiscal practices.

The Vatican said Italian Bishop Giorgio Corbellini, 66, will replace the 76-year-old Italian Cardinal Attilio Nicora at the head of the Financial Information Authority, according to the National Catholic Reporter.

Francis, TIME’s Person of the Year in 2013, has prioritized financial reform since he was elected last year, targeting mismanagement and corruption in the Vatican and in the troubled Vatican Bank. Corbellini, the head of the Vatican’s labor office, was formerly a senior official in the government of the Vatican City State.
