It's warm at the 2014 Winter Olympics, and it may stay that way

Temperatures in Sochi reached a high of 61-degrees Fahrenheit on Monday, as Olympians hit the slopes and landed in puddles. NBC joked that the mild weather made the Winter games feel more like Summer ones instead.

Though temperatures are expected to cool down on Tuesday, they’ll be back up during the rest of the week — possibly as high as 63 degrees on Thursday.

Due to the weather, events were postponed Monday, as sunny skies softened snow in jump landing areas. One American skier told NBC that she didn’t think she adapted well to the wet snow. “It slides under your ski more,” said Stacey Cook, who missed a gate during an event.
