— Anwar Khan Oryakhail, a member of parliament from Kabul, said in regards to the Taliban’s attack on a Kabul resort Thursday night. At least 20 people died during the assault and subsequent police response and hundreds more were held hostage. A spokesman for the Taliban said they had attacked the hotel because of the “illicit” activities taking place there. (CSM)
