Mangled remnants of train cars lay strewn about the tracks in the northwestern Spanish town of Santiago De Compostela after a tragic crash Thursday that killed 78 and injured more than 150. The train was reportedly traveling at twice its recommended speed when it went off the rails, causing the nation’s worst train accident in 40 years.
