A star-studded couple weeks for Pakistani girls’ education activist Malala Yousafzai took a royal turn Friday when she met with the Queen of England, Elizabeth II.

The private sit-down took place at Buckingham Palace with the Queen and her husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, CNN reports. The 16-year-old activist was accompanied at the meeting by her father and presented the Queen with a copy of her new memoir, “I am Malala.”

When asked about the Queen’s invitation last week by CNN’s Christine Amanpour, Malala said she was going because “it’s the order of the Queen. It’s the command.”

Last Friday Malala met with President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House. She was a finalize for the Nobel Peace Prize.
