In a secretly recorded video, Rob Ford, the embattled mayor of Toronto, can be seen in a frantic rage, uttering his desire to “kill” and “murder” an unknown target.
Speaking to reporters after the newest video of him was posted online by the Toronto Sun and Toronto Star, Ford said he was “extremely, extremely inebriated” in it and “embarrassed” by his actions.
The new footage came two days after Ford publicly admitted that he smoked crack cocaine while in “a drunken stupor” about a year ago. A friend of Ford’s, Alexander “Sandro” Lisi, was recently charged with extortion for attempting to recover a tape of the act—now in police possession—that was previously seen by reporters from the Star and Gawker. Ford has insisted he won’t resign; instead, he has asked Toronto to vote next October for him to stay or go.
