Luo Changping is a 33-year-old Beijing journalist who used his account on Weibo, China’s equivalent to Twitter, to report allegations of illegal financial dealings by a top Chinese energy chief. Rafael Marques de Morais is an Angolan rights activist and journalist who exposes corruption in the diamond trade and oil industry. On Friday, they will become the 2013 winners of Transparency International’s Integrity Award, a prize given to inspirational individuals who serve as reminders that corruption can be challenged.
