Indian Diplomat’s New York Arrest and Strip Search Sparks Fury at Home

Indian diplomat Devyani Khobragade was arrested on visa fraud charges on Dec. 12 in New York City and is accused of failing to pay her housekeeper a minimum wage. A report that she was strip-searched and kept in a cell with drug-addicts has caused an uproar in India and a diplomatic spat between the two countries.
