Two men were convicted Thursday in the gory murder of an off-duty British soldier in London.
Michael Adebolajo, 29, and Michael Adebowale, 22, were convicted of murdering 25-year-old Lee Rigby by driving into him as he crossed the street and then hacking him to death, BBC reports. The men, who said they saw themselves as “soldiers of Allah,” had pleaded not guilty but did not deny taking part in the attack. They were acquitted of attempting to murder a police officer.
The judge said he will hand down sentences for the men next year.
