Hundreds of Israelis lined up to pay their respects to former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon at the national parliament Sunday, where Sharon’s body will lie in state before Monday’s memorial service.
President Shimon Peres will lay a wreath on his coffin at the Knesset before Monday’s service, which U.S. Vice President Joe Biden and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair will attend. The service will be followed by a funeral procession that will end with a military funeral at Sharon’s ranch, CNN reports.
Sharon died Saturday at 85 after spending eight years in a coma.
