Valerie Trierweiler has been released from the hospital after a weeklong stay following a French gossip magazine’s report of an alleged affair between President Francois Hollande and an actress.

A person close to Trierweiler confirmed she had left the hospital Saturday, the Associated Press reports.

Trierweiler, a journalist and Hollande’s  partner since 2007, was admitted to the hospital last Friday to “rest and undergo some tests,” after the magazine Closer published photos that implied Hollande and French actress Julie Gayet were having an affair.
