An explosion hit a Shiite-dominated neighborhood in southern Beirut on Tuesday, killing at least four people.
The blast was reportedly caused by a suicide bomber who detonated explosives while sitting in a car, reports Al Jazeera. Al-Manar, a Lebanese television station, has been broadcasting footage from the site of the explosion that shows ambulances and people rushing to the area.
The bombing occurred in the same district where a car bomb killed five people earlier this month. It’s the latest in a series of sectarian attacks blamed on the neighboring conflict in Syria.
