The 2013 Harley Davidson Super Glide Custom A 1,585cc Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide, donated to Pope Francis last year and signed by him on its tank, is displayed ahead of Bonham's sale of vintage and classic cars, at the Grand Palais in Paris, Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014.

A mystery buyer paid $327,000 for Pope Francis’ Harley-Davidson motorcycle at a charity auction in Paris on Thursday.

The price tag includes taxes and fees, but it’s still well above the expected pre-sale price of $16,000, the Associated Press report. The funds will go to a Caritas Roma, a soup kitchen and hostel for the homeless in Rome.

Willie Davidson, a retired Harley-Davidson designer and grandson of one of the two founders, donated the 2013 Dyna Super Glide to the Pope, though it’s unclear if the Pontiff ever rode it.
