The devastating typhoon that struck the Philippines last month killed more than 6,000 people, and about 1,800 are still missing, according to new figures released Friday.
About 20 bodies are found every day in Tacloban, the city hit hardest by Typhoon Haiyan, the Associated Press reports. Twenty-seven people were added to the death toll overnight Thursday.
Typhoon Haiyan, the deadliest typhoon to hit the island nation in its history, destroyed or damaged about 16 million homes when it struck in early November. Officials estimate it will take about three years to rebuild.
