Singapore has not ruled out nuclear power. The tiny island nation does not have the space for a sprawling plant but is studying the possibility of building underground reactors, reports the New Scientist. The subterranean plant would be smaller and more expensive than other reactors, but if something went wrong, the bedrock might contain the fallout.
