Heavy rains beginning on Sept. 7 led to large-scale flooding that displaced 1.9 million people in the provinces of Baluchistan, northern Sindh and southern Punjab. The latest flooding further complicated ongoing relief efforts stemming from recent earthquakes and consecutive years of widespread flooding in those regions.
